finished object: Basic Camisole

finished object: Basic Camisole
(or: Jack the Ripper Era Fashion Meets Amish Farmer)

pattern used: Basic Lace Camisole from Knit Lingerie Style
time elapsed: far too long, but worth it

notes: knit using size 6 bamboo circulars, size 6 bamboo straights, size 4 metal circulars in a mystery grey yarn. trim done in leftover Cotton Fleece in cream. pattern made almost exactly to spec, just forgot to add the armhole shaping in the front part, but it's hardly noticeable. straps crocheted on instead of i-cord.

I don't think I would knit this again! I don't like seaming (but it wasn't such a bad job on this one), and I don't like having to drag around two parts of a design while worrying if one back part or front part will get lost. I have never knit lace before, so this is the first time where I have knit lace almost to spec (substituted size 9 needles for size 10, and it still looked a little too loose), but it came out better than I thought.
