Work in Progress: Anne Adams 4571, circa 1940s

anneAdams4571-aThe pattern and the start of my (hopefully) wearable muslin in yellow seersucker.

anneAdams4571-bThis is the first unprinted pattern I’ve worked with. The little perforations make everything so much more fragile.

  1. Of course, Esteemed Sewing Assistant believes you are doing all this for his/her convenience!
This is a neat pattern – I love the side buttons and scallops.

  2. I hope so! I had some doubts since yellow is a departure from my usual colours, but we’ll see how it goes. The yellow seersucker is lightweight and has excellent drape but looks a little see-through in a certain light. It’s too fussy to line a wearable muslin (I think) so I’ll probably have to wear it with a slip.

Esteemed Sewing Assistant loves sewing! He’s always sitting on whatever project I’m working on at the moment.
