I haven’t felt inclined to sew since I started working on the muslin for Lady Grey. I need to consult with my friend/sewing mentor about my fabric choices. Sewing is generally a calming activity for me, but with this project it’s so intimidating that all I want to do is procrastinate.

Last night I started on Burda 8155, a modern pattern inspired by Burda 7535, a vintage 50s pencil skirt pattern. I’ve made this twice before, in view B, but for whatever reason those two skirts are now a little too big (but still wearable). I’m making version A in black cotton sateen.
