These are some excerpts from the 1960 Sears Fall and Winter Catalogue. I’m usually drawn to looks earlier than 1960, but this could work for a mid- to late- ’50s look as well.

I like the violet plaid and the houndstooth skirt with hip pocket. How’s the red lace dress coming on?
So far (undocumented on this blog as of yet) I have 2 sleeves attached. I cut out the lining and the skirt pieces last night, and still need to baste them together then sew the skirt to the bodice. I’ve been trying to get over some cold/flu over the weekend, but so far so good. Hopefully more updates on it soon!
OMG that green dress with the neck tie in image 3 is… just… stunning!
